RESERVATIONS

Bookings can be made here or by e-mailing innkeepers@oldeorchardinn.com or by telephone on 603.476.5004 or toll-free (within the US & Canada) on 800.598.5845. A credit card number is required to confirm your booking. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, cash, and personal cheque.

CANCELLATIONS/CHANGES

Up until 14 days prior to your scheduled arrival date you can cancel or change your reservation without charge. Cancellations made within 14 days of scheduled arrival date are subject to the full charge.

CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT

Check-in is from 4pm-7pm. Please let us know if you will be arriving outside this time.  Check-out is 11am.

BREAKFAST

On Saturday and Sunday and on most weekdays we serve a full cooked breakfast. Offerings may include: slow-cooked porridge, pancakes, french toast (aka “eggy bread”), scrambled or fried eggs, bacon, sausages, and sometimes sauteed tomatoes, mushrooms or “bubble & squeak”. Juice, coffee, tea, and hot chocolate are also available. During the weekdays we sometimes offer a healthy, organic (whenever possible) self-serve breakfast buffet consisting of freshly-baked breads and pastries, fruit, yoghurt, cereal, smoked salmon, and hardboiled eggs. We try to source as locally as possible, with many of the items coming from our own garden and orchard (such as fruit and eggs).

GREEN POLICY

We are proud to be green, and constantly strive to reduce our environmental impact. We source local, organic products whenever possible. All of our stationery is printed on paper recycled from 100% post-consumer waste. All our water is drawn from a well located on our property and is heated by solar panels (on  our roof). We are actively researching other renewable energy sources. We hope that our guests will join us by participating fully in our earth-friendly initiatives, including using the recycling bins provided and practicing energy & linen conservation. If you are interested in making a donation to offset the carbon emissions produced by your trip, please visit The Carbon Neutral Company.  We are very proud that our toiletries, supplied by Gilchrist & Soames, are recycled and repurposed through Clean the World, a non-profit that saves lives by getting soap to people in the world who really need it.

EXCLUSIVE USE / HOUSE PARTIES

The inn is available for hire on an exclusive-use basis for house parties, corporate events, family reunions, weddings, retreats and similar for a minimum of two nights. Exclusive-use hire includes: 9 guest bedrooms, and all guest common areas. (Sorry, no bachelor/stag or bachelorette/hen parties.) Special rates may apply.

CHILDREN

Children of all ages are very welcome at the Inn. We have a highchair, a baby crib, and a stroller on hand. Though we take extra safety precautions, this is an old Inn with several potential hazards for small children such as steep staircases, sloping floors, animals, a pond, a stream, and open fireplaces. We therefore respectfully ask that children up to 12 be closely supervised by their parent or another responsible adult at all times. Rooms with fireplaces are only for guests aged 12 and older.

We have two pairs of rooms (Northern Spy/Fireside and Macoun/Macintosh) that have shared landings and are perfectly suited to families requiring two rooms.

ANIMALS/PETS

Healthy, vaccinated, friendly dogs are permitted in some rooms for an additional one-off charge of $25 (regardless of length of stay). Please contact us for details.  We have goats, rabbits, cats, chickens and a dog here at the orchard so all visiting dogs need to be kept on a leash at all times, and they are not permitted on any furniture in the Inn.  Guest pets should not be left unaccompanied in the room for any length of time.

COMMON AREAS

The common areas (the Living Room, the Dining Rooms, and the Gazebo) are open to all guests at any time during your stay here. We hope you will feel free to borrow books, use the computer (with broadband), play cards or a board game, or simply relax by the fire.

ROMANCE

Are you visiting us for a special occasion, such as an anniversary or birthday? We can arrange a special welcome for you in your room that includes fresh flowers, chocolates, and a roaring fire. The cost is $100 and includes a complimentary bottle of champagne. Please contact us to arrange.
